I would love to do that. My favourite part about that video was seeing a real rock from the moon - now you don’t see that every day! And a real fossil - I enjoyed reading about that. Could you go into the rocket ship?

I am really interested in helicopters and want to fly them when I’m older. Have you ever been in a helicopters?

Yours sincerely
BenAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8196671982846623192.post-87745984327255417232012-07-29T13:12:46.032-07:002012-07-29T13:12:46.032-07:00Dear Royce,

We know it was a thrill for you to touch an actual moon rock. In the summer of 1980 we also visited the Space Center and we wonder if you touched the same moon rock that your mom and Uncle Justin touched. It was facinating to watch your video and learn about the different sections of the space shuttle. We are happy you had such a wonderful experience.
Love,
Grandma and GrandpaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8196671982846623192.post-65005375406648764442012-07-29T10:57:16.093-07:002012-07-29T10:57:16.093-07:00Hi Royce from Galway in the west of Ireland. Your ...Hi Royce from Galway in the west of Ireland. Your video of your trip to Space Camp is amazing and I learned so much from watching it. Like your former teacher Mrs Yollis I can remember seeing Neil Armstrong on the television - now I always show it to my classes on our smart board. But lucky you to get to go and experience the space camp. Thank you for all your work on the video and I look forward to showing it to my class when we return to school in September.
Ms O'Keeffemsokeeffehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02882736941352317751noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8196671982846623192.post-9900069120474973272012-07-27T13:24:30.057-07:002012-07-27T13:24:30.057-07:00Dear Royce,

It looks like you had quite a learning adventure!

Did you get a chance to go in that spinning simulator? If so, what was it like? Why did they do that to the astronauts?

Every time I look at the moon, I think about what it must have been like for the Apollo 11 astronauts to land on the moon and return. I remember when Neil Armstrong first stepped foot on the moon and gave that famous quote, "That's one small step for [a] man, one giant leap for mankind." I was only eight years old when that happened. We had a television at our house and lots of neighbors were over to watch the event. I didn't really understand that it was a big historic moment, but I clearly remember how important it was to all the adults in the room.

Would you like to travel in space some day?

Your proud former teacher,
Mrs. Y♥llisMrs. Y♥llishttp://yollisclassblog.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8196671982846623192.post-30096263030023890522012-07-27T09:56:42.605-07:002012-07-27T09:56:42.605-07:00So glad you had a great time and learned so much a...So glad you had a great time and learned so much about our heritage in Space. It must have taken you a long time to put the video together.

You are so lucky to have travelled all the way to Florida to attend this camp.

I was particularly interested in your video because when Nate and I visited Washington DC, we went to the Air and Space Museum. It was so interesting! We had a tour from a man who used to work at NASA and spent a long time there looking around and learning.

I find it so fascinating that people have been so clever to figure out how to send people to space and back.

Would you like to be an astronaut or be involved in space science when you're older?

Your Aussie pal,
Mrs M☀rris

PS - how is that jigsaw going?Kathleen Morrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02380869422724335931noreply@blogger.com
